The room was clean and cozy - with a huge bathroom and a great view of the nature reserve. The host was very nice and provided us with cockroach traps upon request. The outdoor area was well maintained, and there was a nice pool to enjoy. it was a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Totally recommend. Tequila Moon is a great location for exploring the area, with its close proximity to the lagoon.

We had an amazing stay at a hotel with a stunning view and tastefully decorated rooms. The bathroom was spectacular with a luxurious tub and fragrant bath salts. The location was perfect, close to the main road and the host was incredibly gracious and accommodating. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem.
Breakfast offerings could be improved with more options.

the location was ideal, just a minute or two away from the main road. the view from the patio was stunning, overlooking the Serpentine river and lake. the cleanliness and neatness of everything impressed us, from the comfortable bed to the ample storage space. But the highlight for us was definitely the bathroom, it was simply wow! We couldn't have asked for more. Robbie, the host, was super gracious and accommodating.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

Stunning lake views: Our terrace offered breathtaking views of the serene Island Lake, with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains serving as a picturesque backdrop. It felt like stepping into a postcard.
Noisy neighbors: On some occasions, noise from other guests disrupted our peace. A night of loud guitar playing, mornings filled with furniture moving, and an afternoon interrupted by a very enthusiastic band practicing made it difficult to relax.

Loved the free WiFi because, you know, Instagram is life. The garden and outdoor pool were great for lounging around and pretending to be posh. Being able to sip a G&T on the patio/balcony was très chic.
Oh, how I adored the beautiful views of the Map Of Africa. said no one ever.

What an incredible experience we had during our Christmas stay! the setting was absolutely magical, with breathtaking views of the lakes. We loved the secluded and quiet atmosphere, and the fact that all the rooms were very private. the rim flow pool and lounges were a definite highlight, and we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the stunning surroundings. the cleanliness of the rooms and the high-quality bedding made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.
While our stay was mostly fantastic, there were a few minor downsides. the toilet paper could have been a bit softer.

I was amazed by the stunning view from the room at Tequila Moon. Despite being located in the basement, the view was fantastic as the house is situated on a cliff. I loved the unique experience of having two rooms with great views, especially the one with a bathtub. The owner was accommodating and would allocate this room upon request. While breakfast wasn't included, the provided kitchen amenities were sufficient to prepare a small meal. I appreciated the friendly host who even shared the interesting story behind the name of the place.
